“Sun Contemporary” is a cutting-edge gallery that just opened last year in the Pererenan district, right next to Canggu. Founded by Ricky, an artist born and raised in South Africa, the beautiful space showcases carefully selected paintings and sculptures, with a focus on creators based in Indonesia.

“In Bali, there’s a strong connection and fusion between the old and the new in music, textiles, and visual arts. I felt the need for a space that could support the immense talents that exist here. We focus mainly on a deep understanding of materials and techniques, exhibiting works with strong narratives.”
