ABOUT THE WORK

“The painting is part body, part flower, blooming. I was thinking of how a woman’s body changes after giving birth, how breasts bloom, or the uterus grows. The form is somewhere between human and plant, like something growing and opening at the same time. It is about life, nurture, and transformation. The way the pigment bleeds outward makes it feel soft, vulnerable, and organic, almost like tissue.” - Salvita De Corte
