“My Whole World is about recollecting the memories of being a new mum. My world changed, and that became my new whole world. It was exciting and scary at the same time. The painting shows a baby sucking on the breast, a moment of connection. In a way, something inside the mother flows out and becomes part of the baby. The paint is subdued, like traces of memory. A little faded. But the feeling I had then, I remember clearly.” - Salvita De Corte
