“Dance II was made in response to Dance I. While the first painting revealed itself slowly over time, this one appeared much more immediately. Here the figure moves through sunlight . The body seems lighter and more fluid. If Dance I emerged gradually from the darkness, Dance II arrived with urgency. The painting almost formed itself, as if it could not wait to be born onto the canvas. The figure moves freely through the light.” - Salvita De Corte
