Text reading 'Batuan Workshop with I Made Griyawan' in black font on a white background.

On 12 July 2025, Sun Contemporary transformed its Pererenan space into an intimate studio of heritage and creativity. Led by Balinese artist I Made Griyawan in collaboration with ACME, the hands-on workshop invited guests to immerse themselves in the rich visual language of the Batuan painting style, known for its intricate detail and deep storytelling. Participants explored traditional techniques, guided by Griyawan’s practiced hand, while reflecting on themes of duality and transformation that echo through the Rwa Bhineda exhibition. A morning of slow art, thoughtful process, and shared inspiration.
